02 / THE PROCESS

Less guessing.
More purposeful practice.

Start with where you are. Build toward where you want to go.

01

Show your game

Bring your swing videos, usual ball flight, and the part of your game you want to improve.

02

Find your focus

Work through the priorities with your coach. Understand the change and how to practice it.

03

Take it to the course

Practice with a purpose. Track your contact, ball flight, and confidence as you put the plan into play.

READY WHEN YOU ARE

A better video.
A clearer picture.

You don't need a studio. A phone, a stable setup, and two useful angles are a good place to start.

ANGLE 01

Square to your stance.

Place your phone facing you, roughly at hand height and centered on your stance. Include the entire club and your feet throughout the swing.

Use good light, keep the phone steady, and record at normal speed. Slow-motion video can help if available.

03 / ABOUT YOUR COACH

Hi, I’m
Gavin Sykes.

COMPETITIVE GOLFER / STUDENT OF THE GAME

I’m currently studying in the PGA Golf Management program at Sam Houston State University. As an active competitive golfer, I’m working toward my goal of playing professionally after graduation.

Alongside competing, I have a strong passion for instruction and helping others improve. Over the years, I’ve worked with several instructors, and each has contributed valuable knowledge and a different perspective to my understanding of the game. One of the most influential lessons has been learning how the body’s movement, strengths, and mobility shape the golf swing. That understanding is at the heart of how I teach.

I believe there is no single swing that works for everyone. Every golfer brings a different body, different abilities, and a different way of moving. My approach is to understand those differences and help you develop a swing that works with your strengths and respects your limitations.

My goal with Lookout Golf is to make improvement clear and practical. I want you to understand why a change matters, how to work on it, and how it connects to your ball flight and performance on the course. Whether you’re building your foundation or refining your game, we’ll work toward a swing you can understand, trust, and make your own.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you get started.

Do I need to be an experienced golfer?

Both formats can be shaped around your experience. Share your goals and what you're working on so the coaching starts in the right place.

What do I need for online coaching?

A phone to record your swing is enough to start. Have face-on and down-the-line videos ready, along with your goals and usual ball flight.

Can I combine reviews and online swing lessons?

Yes. A swing review can establish a focus, and an online swing lesson can help you work on it with targeted drills and a practice plan.

How do I book a lesson?

Choose a lesson above to open the calendar. Select an available date and time, then enter your name and email to reserve your lesson. I’ll send your Zoom link separately before the lesson.
